Parcel Madness

Why hello lovely people! I got home from work to a parcel today, I love getting parcels! It also makes the middle of the week even better. Inside it was this pretty package...

Isn't a lovely pretty package! Inside was a Chic Reward I redeemed of Chictopia a few weeks ago. How cool is it that you get rewarded for uploading photos of your outfits and complimenting other people on their outfits? This is my first reward and it's a statement bracelet from Mimi Boutique.
The colours mean it's really versatile and it will be a perfect finishing pieces for office work outfits. I actually popped it on when I got home and took some photos of my outfit today so you could see the bracelet in action.

My outfit today, I wanted to bring a fun twist to a normal office outfit. The fruity tee is a bit short so it really accentuates the high waist on the skirt. The yellow in my shirt and the colour of the skirt match which I like. The ankle boots I thought made the outfit a little 'country&western' style. Anyway, here are the photos...

Put a Ring On It

You guys may remember I did an interview over at Femme Fatall with Heather the other day. Well, Heather collects unique, vintage rings and then remasters them into these amazing wire-wrapped rings. She was lovely enough to send me one as a thank you for doing an interview!
Just look at how dainty and lovely it is and it fits just perfectly. I have had so many compliments on this when I wear it and most people comment on the fact that they have never seen a ring quite like this before. People all want to know where I got it from! My favourite colours are different shades of light blue and turquoise so this goes just perfectly with lots of my outfits. I also love adding bits of fun jewellery to office outfits and this definitely fits into the 'fun jewellery' category.

I'm not sure if Heather sells these rings but take a look at her post about how she makes them, you can find that here.

Hope you're having a good week and hopefully, like me, that lovely bank holiday will have been so lovely that it mixed the order of days up in your head! Georgia X

What's About Town? Bangles Are About Town!

One of my favourite trends in jewellery is bracelet stacking. Every summer my left wrist is adorned with that year's festival bands, bracelets from friends and treasures that I find over my travels. Some of them are hand made, others new. It's my favourite summer trend. My right wrist is left to wear the more 'sophisticated' jewellery, a slender bracelet or a girly bangle. I know that sounds so OCD haha.

So I have found the perfect bangle that would suit either wrist!

H&M: Instore or Online

H&M, one of my favourite stores! I'm pretty sure that most of you readers will be nodding your heads in agreement with me. You can get fabulous in-style pieces at reasonable prices and they're always leading the way with fashion. I used to work in a shopping centre at a popular chocolate shop and H&M was literally two minutes away... I spent many lunch breaks in there! The office where I work now is in a city centre and the H&M is only a ten minute walk away from there, what a lucky girl I am! I have never bought online with them until now because the convenience their locations have been to me. One Saturday morning I spotted that they had a brilliant sale on and I was in want of a blazer, I didn't want to wait till work on Monday to purchase it as I was worried they may run out of my size so I made my first online purchase with them. Read on for my pro's and con's of instore shopping versus online shopping.

A Shabby Apple a Day Keeps The Doctor Away!

Some of you may have already heard of Shabby Apple but for those of you haven't, let me introduce them to you... I recently came across their online boutique and have fallen in love with some of their pieces! Particularly, the new range the Mad Hatter. I am a massive Alice in Wonderland fan and believe that Tim Burton made a mistake in his casting.. Mia Wasikowska that role was mine! (Haha although that film isn't a scratch on the originals or the books - sorry Tim!)

I can't not share with you some of the Mad Hatter collection because every time I look it I fall more in love. It's full of lace, girly patterns, pretty skirts and the photos are really quirky. Take a look at my favourite picks...

What I Wore This Week: My Comfy Cape

It was Midsummer the other day which is obviously the longest day of the year so I made the most of it by getting out my camera at 10pm and shooting some outfit photos. Even though the weather was glum so it did make the photos slightly dark but it was a 'Ha! It's 10pm and I can get take photos outside without flash still' rebel against the sun.

I love everything about this apart from the silly face I am pulling - oh well hehe

I also received an exciting package from Percy and Reed... Remember the review I did on their Totally TLC Hydrating hair mask? (You can read it here) They have sent me their gorgeous Hair Royal Highness travel pack to review and tell all you lovely folk about. I love travelling and I love Percy&Reed so I'm saving it for when I go away next in a couple of weeks but in the meantime check out their website and all their lovely products. I can't wait to share with you my review for Hair Royal Highness!
Chipped nail polish, cry!

If you haven't entered my giveaway for free advertising space yet then you can do that here - if you want to get more exposure and followers for your blog this is a great opportunity for you! I am so excited to be working with Fashion, Trends&More to give someone that chance.

Read on to see the rest of my outfit photos and to find out what exactly I was wearing!

Titanic the Musical: Review

Thanks to my friend Thea for this photo!

This last Saturday I went with my mum and some friends to see Titanic the Musical, by the West Kirby theatre group. The theatre is one of my favourite things and every time I go, I leave wishing I went more often. It's so much more dynamic than going to the cinema, so much more compelling.

I love the story of the Titanic and each time I watch the movie I'm sure I end up a little bit more in love with Leonardo DiCaprio. The musical features no rich lady and poor man and their love affair, though. Instead it follows the lives of several couples and people on the ship. We see a young irish man and three irish girls all called Kate in 3rd class - Not sure if the writer ran out of names at this point or if Irish girls often have the same name? There's a middle class couple who embarrassingly long to be in first class. Then there are the first class - including a pompous lady with some gorgeous dogs. Unfortunately the dogs only featured once, I would have liked to see more of them.
