Friday's Favourite: Sunnies

Okay I think I have to confess I am feeling very dissatisfied with my wardrobe at the moment so yet again I am saying to you I don't have a favourite pair of sunglasses. I did have up until about a week ago but then I left them on the drivers seat of my car, forgot and then sat on them! Thus, they are broken. This now leaves me with a pair of aviators which looks fabulous but do nothing for keeping the sun from your eyes and a gorgeous funky blue pair which doesn't look so good when going to the office. I am going to have to go shopping for sunglasses at the same time as for handbags! (Although, I do have a birthday coming up in a few weeks so I am leaving hints for Sam here and there)

My dilemma with buying sunglasses is how little I can pay to get a decent, quality pair that will last. Wedding bells ring in my head every time I go to buy something which isn't related to my coming wedding or isn't an item for my future new house. I would never buy a pair from Primark but at the beginning of summer I was doing a street performance and Sam was struggling to see because of the sun and he had forgotten his so had to buy a pair from there. They are still going strong, look amazing and cost him £2 so I'm impressed! I generally don't have that much luck with things lasting, though, so I don't think I'm going to risk it.

We all know that the ultimate pair of sunglasses is the Ray-Ban, slightly more than a pair at Primark would cost you but a million times more stylish. And as the summer is leaving us it is the best time to snap up a summer bargain in the sales. Head over to eBay too, plenty of people sell them after wearing them just once and twice and during the winter months not many people are bidding on summer clothing so you're sure to pick up a bargain!

Anyhow here are my favourite picks from their latest collection...

There were no prices on the website, I think prices just depend on the supplier. If you're in the UK and looking for a pair then I suggest looking at Tesco Opticians. They're selling all glasses and sunglasses frames as buy one get one free currently and they stock a collection of classic Ray-Bans. You don't need to have a prescription either to buy from there, you could just get them fitted with plain glass.

Well, I really need to get to bed. I have a very early start tomorrow as me and my mum are going to have a stall at a vintage fayre for the first time! If you haven't seen already I sell vintage clothing and my mum sells a variety of vintage items at Vintage by Dezign. Goodnight folk, Georgia
