Satiable Fashion: New Stock

Today I have for 3 fabulous finds for £15! These jackets will give any outfit the finishing touch they need. Wear them again and again, they'll never get old! You can view my other stock under my 'Shop Satiable Fashion' tab at the top of the page. All items are available to buy from my online etsy store, click the image and you will be taken straight to that items page :)

Firstly, is what my boyfriend likes to call a 'farmer jacket'. My farmer jacket is a fashion staple in my wardrobe and this one could soon become one of your fashion staples. In a lovely dark green, it is covered with tiny blue hearts which gives it a really cute girly twist.
Small, Lodenfrey
£15
This is a true, granddad cardigan. Never mind the manufactured 'fake' granddad cardigans you find in practically every high street store, what you need is the real thing. This is such a quirky piece, a fabulous addition to any wardrobe.
Large, KoodAhl
£15
It's festival season once again and this poncho is perfect! You'll look the part and stand out in the crowds. It will take you right through to autumn and winter too - who doesn't like an item that lasts all year in your wardrobe?!
Med-Large, Hand Knit (A lot of hardwork and care has gone into this item once upon a time!)
£15
Postage for all three items is as follows:
UK - £4, to add another item is £1
European Union - £5, to add another item is £1.50
Everywhere else - £6.00, to add another item is £1.50

Thrift Finds

I had a spare hour yesterday so I drove to a nearby village to try out their two charity shops. They were the tiniest stores ever rammed to the brim with clothes, furniture, ornaments, dvds, videos... You get the idea! Have you ever noticed that smell antique and second hand shops have? No matter what you buy and take home, they all have that same smell. I find it funny that it's always the same. I've not decided whether I like it, I don't dislike it but it just lasts for ages.

So, I didn't get much but here are my finds...

I wanted a pair of heeled ankle boots for a while now and picked up these beauties. They're so unique and gorgeous! Real leather, made in Brazil. I'm looking forward to getting these bad boys out later this afternoon when I go to the theatre with my mum :) (I don't know why the photo has taken it upon itself to upload portrait rather than landscape!)

What I Wore This Week: Vintage Levi's

I scored this gorgeous pair of vintage Levi cut-off's from a local vintage store. I was performing for the Olympic Torch arriving in Liverpool and needed something black to wear with a colourful tee so treated myself to these. Okay, I have to admit this week has also involved a trip to the beach and a zoo where the shorts may have come with me. (ALERT: ADDICTION)
What an exciting week it has been. Singing for the Olympic Torch (even though I didn't get to see it myself) was so exciting and I love to be in performances. My lovely boyfriend was in the crowd too which makes it even better.
I haven't been to the zoo since I was 11 and we were going for my sister's 18th birthday so it was like being a kid again. Unfortunately, it rained most of our time there but we managed to see all the animals and I remembered to wear trusty tights with my shorts so I was kept from cold legs. The painted dogs were my favourite animals, they were all cuddled up together asleep. If you haven't been to the zoo in years, go learn about animals! I bet you haven't done that since school ;) I hadn't.
My last trip with my shorts, the beach... I had gone with tights and ended up taking them off - it was such a beautiful sunny day! It was lovely sitting back watching the boys shout rules at each other whilst they played rounders&cricket and catch some rays with the girls. The outfit pictures are from that trip, I hope you like them - let me know what you think!

I think it's so important to support local businesses doing the same as me, too. I love visiting my local vintage boutiques and online vintage stores to see what I can find. Knowing that I'm supporting someone else as they make a career for themselves makes shopping even more accomplishing!

What are you wearing this week?
Carry on to see the rest of the pictures...

Night Away: York

I love love love being able to get away and devote time to charity shopping, gazing at antiques I can't afford and don't have a house to put them in and eating good food. I love that my bf enjoys this as much as me (I don't know how I got so lucky!).

We decided to go for the first time to York. It is such a beautiful city and if you haven't been I really recommend it. I'd love to live somewhere like that one day. It's such a cluttered mess of buildings that look so dainty and cute but yet so big and rustic. The roads are cobbled and the wall that surrounds it is an even better way to get to one side of the town to the other. Walking through one cobbled road I saw Philip Schofield but as soon as the words "Is that that TV Presenter" left my lips he had ran into one of the neighbouring shops and I wasn't that desperate for a photo. We didn't buy much other than a trip up the York cathedral tower (Beware: The stairs up are terrifying!), food and a gorgeous antique pair of earrings Sam treated me too. I'm already hoping to go again in the next couple of months to see the Mystery Plays that are being put on. If you're planning on going I can recommend a lovely vintage-feeling B&B which is currently being done up and a hidden restaurant where you can get a lunch meal and a glass of wine for under £5. We took some photos so I thought I couldn't not share some with you.

The perfect outfit for a rainy day

Shop Satiable Fashion is finally here!

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!

Do you fancy doing some shopping? Of course you do! You wouldn't be here if you didn't ;)

I'm going to leave it there and let you go shop because I know how excited you are to go check out the unique, vintage stock on Satiable Fashion. It's so good I want to buy it all myself. Although, buying something of myself would be pretty weird.

Anyway, here you are lovely, fashionable folk... Follow the link :)

Vintage Monday

A rainy, cold, windy Monday stuck outside... Everyone's worst nightmare. Could there be a worse start to the week? Usually I would probably say yes but not this week.

I know it's now Friday but I couldn't let the week go without sharing mine and Sammy's adventures on Monday. It was a lovely surprise because neither of us had realised it was going to be a bank holiday so we had a last minute whole day free to do what we like.  So what did we do with ourselves? Spent the day outside at markets, vintage&antique shopping.

I think it is so special finding something that was once so precious to someone else and being able to make it precious to yourself. Once upon a time someone will have treasured the antique that you now own, it's like they passed on the baton to you and its now you're duty to look after it.

We didn't buy lots and lots but it was still so worth it. I got some bits for Satiable Fashion (you will see these soon in the shop!!) and we treated ourselves too, of course! I didn't get a photo off my outfit, it was such a cold day and as we were outside I stuck to jeans from Zara and a sweater from Hollister plus my great farmer style jacket from New Look so it wasn't anything that exciting.

We did get some other fab snapshots throughout the day though so I thought I would share some with you all...

Wintery Spring

Yes, what a wintery day it was here today in England! I was driving my sister to work (What a lovely sister I am) and then went shopping. Unfortunately, the shopping was outside so it was back to the jumper wardrobe for me! What? Why am I complaining about wearing a jumper? I'm kidding of course, I was happy to fish out some wool.

This is actually a jumper I got my boyfriend.. I love it so much so I stole it for the day whilst he was at work. It's so big, comfy and warm - perfect for my day :)
